PETA supporters shower nude on streets

Thursday, May 28, 2009

Two nude PETA protesters showered on the streets of Orlando, Florida yesterday in order to draw attention to the violent lobby's vegan agenda.

The two PETA women showered behind a banner that read: "Clean Your Conscience: Go Vegetarian! 1 lb. of Meat = 6 Months of Showers."

In the past PETA has scheduled similar events with the participants normally stripping down to a two piece bathing suit.

It is unclear whether the woman have been charged by the Police for the demonstration although possible charges include disorderly conduct or exposure.

Senior campaigner Ashley Byrne said before the stunt that the woman would be 'as nude as they can legally be'.

Peta promotes sex with vegetables, soft-core porn, they expose teens to fetish sex, offended women by turning them into meat, and not one animal has been helped. PETA even had some blow-up sex dolls made that read KFC blows.

I got the link Truth or you can just google it up yourself.

We are aware of these tactics and wholly condemn them. PETA is a lewd, unprincipled, shameless and exploitative organisation.

Check out my name Devon, I won't deny what I know to be true, and this post of yours is all true. I question what I doubt and call on what is false or misleading. This time we are in agreement. A frightening thought isn't it.

It sure is.

I read a study yesterday from the cancer society trying to find a link between eating meat and breast cancer. It was with 120 thousand women over a 8 year period. No link was found.

No link found because there is no connection.

I don't doubt it. I'm Vegan myself for my own reasons. I think meat eating is wrong but I won't argue against this study. Another one will be along eventually that will support my views, studies are like that they can go back and forth for years. Critics on each side claim the methodology is flawed or the sample size wasn't large enough or it's all politics. Didn't Henry Ford say 'Science is Bunk' if not, he should have.

What are your reasons for being vegan?

Maybe, Maybe not.
Heres a summary of the study, chack out the last para.

A large study has found no link between eating meat and the risk of breast cancer in older women.

Some studies have found that women who eat a lot of red and processed meat are more likely to develop the disease.

Scientists say that’s not the case but diets rich in red meat may increase the risk of developing heart disease, kidney and colon cancer.

"What are your reasons for being vegan?"

Mostly moral. I'm a Buddhist, Buddho-Agnostic actually. So deliberately taking a life, any life, is considered morally repugnant. Though may be necessary on occassion, if I was starving for instance and only meat was available.
Then there is the possible environmental benefits, the studies on this like those on health go back and forth. If there is no benefit from being Vegan at least there is no detriment either.

Ahimsa is a central tenet in Buddhism.

Harm can be psychological, emotional, spiritual as well as physical.

This site believes PETA harms others. This partly explains why we exist.

A couple of points there Truth-the backlash against PETA is huge. I don't think that it's because PETA is pro-animal but rather so anti-human.

We apparently have food shortages that some UN groups believe may be permanent. There has been food riots lately. Millions of kids go to bed hungry everyday. So rather then helping children-PETA squanders their resources of money and manpower telling kids not to drink milk or wear wool to keep warm.

Whatever problems the world faces today, PETA is not the answer. The 31 million dollars that PETA made last year could be better spent then hiring strippers and making blow-up sex dolls.

PETA could use a large dose of empathy for people.PETA are clowns in animal guardian clothing.

Devon, I have no love of PETA, (they are to extreme for me) but they are doing themselves enough damage that it is not neccessary to misrepresent the facts. Which it seems to me is sometimes being done albeit in a good cause.

To complain that PETA in anti-human as akin to complaining that you can't buy bread at a travel agent or book a holiday at a bakery. They choose to spend their resources where they wish and they don't lie about it.
PETA will die a slow (or quick death) eventually under its own power.
