PETA donors now paying for Lohan's rehab

Saturday, October 30, 2010

DONORS to the violent vegan 'charity' People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) could now be paying for the rehabilitation treatment of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.

In a publicity-seeking move the militant lobby has promised to part with $20,000 of its donors cash towards Lohan's US$50,000 bill for her three-month Betty Ford Center stay - on the proviso that she adopts an extremist vegan lifestyle.

PETA's historical relationship with Lohan has been strained ever since one of its rabid supporters smashed a flour bomb over her head at a fashion show in Paris last year. Her ostensible crime was to sport a fur coat.

But the latest stunt will confound the lobby's donors-many of whom are still under the impression that cash donated directly benefits animals.

In a patronizing letter to the star PETA spokeswoman Michelle Cho wrote: 'As you know, a crucial part of any recovery is showing charity to others. One way to do this is to be kind to animals, the Earth, and your own body.'

Another would be to reject the advice of a vegan fanatic who as far as we know has no qualifications as a therapist.
